Hi guys, I saw a extremely large heli fly north over Dunfermline today at around 5 o'clock. Got home as quick as I could to see if I could find it on flight radar but no heli's were to be seen on it. Any ideas on what it could have been?

There's been a German CH 53 over based at Linton.

They're huge helicopters.

That looks like an old (Sea)Stallion rather than a Super Stallion. If so I didn't think they were still in use!

Oh is that the wrong one? I just googled the photo, I think it was a super stallion that the Germans had over but perhaps that's not correct either?

No you're quite right, they have slightly different engine covers to the American ones I'm used to seeing which threw me off.

I think that could well be it as it definitely had the pods at the side, and just checked and the MIL doesn't
