Hi,

I'm looking for Aston Martin friendly MOT stations in Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire areas ?

I could just go to the local one which I used to take my old BMW or the wife's car but not sure about taking the DB9 as I don't want any damage as they will be unfamiliar.

Thanks for any replies.

Paul.

John Brackenbury and his lads does my Aston, Ferrari and Porsche for last 15yrs never had any trouble. They also do a few other Specialist cars. My Aston and Ferrari are lowered and their new MOT Station can accommodate this no problem, very highly recommended. They are based in Scopwick, Lincs.

In Nottingham try http://www.paulmackleyengineering.co.uk/

Terrible website, but he knows his stuff inside out. I was recommended to him by an AM owner prior to becoming one myself. I gave him my Bentley Continental GT for a servicing and he has been brilliant, saving me more than £5,000 over the last two years - compared to the costs for the previous two.

He is old(ish) school and doesn't have the diagnostics for servicing very new cars, but for a friendly MOT you are laughing!

Nick certainly knows his stuff so his guy is also bound to be good (as will be any recommendation here - we are all very demanding!).

If HMW were not so bloody great he would have my Aston too. After another year if I am certain it is a keeper (and I am right now) it would go to Paul in a flash and HWM can look after the DB11 I have my eye on...

Edited for typo stupidity!

For an MOT I'd find a nice, friendly local chap who values the custom and recognises the 'peculiarities' of the car.
