I've been contacted by a scammer. My used car is for sale on Pistonheads. Bryan George email address [e-mail] wants to pay in full by cheque without seeing car, and wants his shipper to collect it. I refuse to reply to him.

Thanks for taking the time to give us this feedback, it's great that you spotted the warning signs and didn't fall for the scam.

As ever we're working on ways to make life harder for the scammers but the first line of defence is simply increasing awareness that they're out there.
