Hiss and squawk!
Discussion
Every time I depress the brake pedal on my 450 I've started to hear a slight hiss and when I release the pressure it squawks. I checked the fluid level and its visible in the plastic dome (enough room to expand a bit when it gets hot while I'm enjoying myself (as 't'wer!). Noise seems to be coming from the pedal area.
Also I've noticed a slight hiss from the power steering moving 10 degrees of straight ahead. Again no prob with fluid level. The gremlins causing these noises seem to have arrived together. It's not seriously annoying just slightly irritating. Anyone got any ideas on what's going on and how to put these critters out of their misery?
Thanks
Hutch
PS For those familiar with my earlier post, I changed back from Optimax to SUL and the uneven running seems to have improved - but I take Steve's point that the octane delta can't explain this. Anyway I'm going to get Motivation to do a full check in early Sept.
BTW the MOT's due at the end of Sept - any typical problems for a Chim that I should be aware of? I think the handbrake might need to be adjusted - I can only get to the critical click by pressuring the brake pedal. I doubt that's acceptable.

Help the tester by sitting in the car to work all the switches (as his assistant won't know what all the buttons do). Then you can haul the handbrake on as hard as you like to get it through the test. You can even use both hands, as he's looking elsewhere.
