944 bell housing removal - it's stuck!

Arse!

Another 5 minuite job taking hours!

Engine out all sorts of jobs done but can't remove the bell housing. Every single bolt is out and the housing moves about an inch from the block ,and can spin on the spindle, but quite simply not come off.

I think it's some think to do with the clutch release mechanism as I can feel some movement through the end (where the slave touches) at the point when the bell housing hits and stops.

I know it's going to be something simple but for the life of me I can't see it.
