Radio Lens Cover

My 2011 V8VS Roadster has scratches on the radio lens. After several attempts to remove them with plastic scratch remover products I have successfully made the problem immeasurably worse. I have found that there is a lens cover for a simi reasonable price to replace my tactical error. Has anyone had any experience or advice on removing the radio lens cover?
