I need to totally remove all traces of an HP Designjet printer from my PC but i'm not sure what is the best way? I think that some of the drivers etc are corrupted and it has been driving me nuts for a while now. Having tried the printer on our laptop I know that the printer is fine so it must be the drivers etc at the PC end.
If I do a delete from the printers folder it still leaves all of the drivers and support files.

Any help greatly appreciated before I

Through Device Manager.

Right click My Computer and Select Manage

Its in there.

Various options from that screen, refresh drivers, uninstall, reinstall etc etc.

Excellent thank you, never found the hidden stuff before..Doh.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have cured my problem.
I uninstalled the printer. reloaded the HP software, which asked if I wanted to keep or replace the original driver. I replaced it and it all installed ok. When I tired to send the test page the display on the printer came up with this again:

Warning 61.05
Error Processing Job
Flushing rest of job.

Warning: 0x70f0002
task: tSwitcher
file: pm_utils.c
line: 144

Does this mean anything to anyone? I have had the error code repeatedly. I have been to the HP site and it lists it as being a print head fault. I have replaced the print heads, gone all through their other listed items with no success. It must be a fault on my machine as it ran perfectly from the laptop.

Cheers,

Or:

Open your printers folder
Rightclick on the blank space
Select Server Properties
Slect the Drivers tab
delete whichever driver you don't want.

Does the LPT port (assuming you have a parallel printer) have ECP and/or EPP mode enabled in the Bios on the desktop?

Some BIOS default to SPP and cannot handle modern printers...
