Boardman fi hybrid comp 2012 - replacement wheels?

The wife has a Boardman fi Hybrid comp 2012 model and the wheels are goosed.

I am trying to find some replacement wheels but I am finding it a real struggle. The range of wheels has me baffled, different size drop outs, different disc fittings, width rims, different speeds.

Can anyone recommend me a set of wheels that will fit straight onto the bike? Reasonably priced if possible?

The bike currently has boardman branded 4d xr wheels fitted and it has 9 speed gearing.

i'm going to suggest these - disks generally fit with six screws, there is a centre lock system but I doubt you have that (shimano wheels mainly), dropouts / through axles are a much newer thing on road bikes so your 2012 will have standard 9mm quick releases.

Seems to come with an adapter for 9/10/11 speeds so all bases covered there.

Not sure if thats a reasonable price, you say the current ones are goosed? whats up with them? you can probably get them sorted for a lot less than new wheels - you can replace the entire bike for £500.

Cheers. A bit pricey really the bikes probably not worth 180 quid. Was thinking around 100 if possible. There seem to be plenty of wheels in that ball park but not sure which will fit. The bike does have 6 bolt discs.

i'm no expert - but disk road wheels at that sort of price point are going to be unbranded or used i think - ebay is your friend here I think.

700c wheels with a 9 speed free hub (or an adapter) will be fine.

Throw a set of 29 inch mtb wheels on there (probably what it has now rather than 'road' specific)

The Deore hubs are pretty much bomb proof

These look ideal but there listed as 10/11 speed. The wifes bike is 9 speed. Will they be compatible somehow? Some forums say 8/9/10 speed should all be compatible on some hubs? Im confused?
