Hi all,
'Points West' refers to the local BBC news, 6.30pm BBC1 for the south west. I'm from Somerset.
Are other areas doing a feature every evening this week on road deaths?
Have any of you been watching it? It's all very heavily biased towards 'speed kills, slow down'.
I think the producer must be getting sponsership from the local safety camera outfit!
At the end of the report tonight, some smug reporter states " so if you slow down and stay within speed limits you may just save a life and it could even be your own". Infuriating!

I find it curious that there's been no mention so far of, for example, actually trying to concentrate on driving whilst driving, stop tail-gating, more carefull observation at junctions, effects of fatigue, or anything else that might actually mean something!

If you're in the area please spend a couple minutes and email : pointswest@bbc.co.uk
asking why they're obsessed with the speed kills message?
The worst part is I have to pay a TV licence fee to fund this propaganda!
Cheers,
