Always wanted a Lamborghini from a young age and now might be the time to achieve that - so looking for some advice.

Got my eye on a 570-4 Gallardo Superlegerra - love the look of these things and would definitely prefer it to a Murcielaglo.

Servicing costs and tyres etc shouldn't be a problem, but what kind of future values am I looking at here? From the looks of things prices don't seem to have moved for the past couple of years, or if anything they're climbing slightly. I half want this to be an investment piece.

Should I have my eye on any other models for the price point?

Yes you should,I bought the 570 Performante recently and choose this car over the 650s GT3 and 458 on the basis of its character and naturally aspirated V10. The cars sounds, looks and drive are all an event and epic, just do itthumbup

Lambos haven't seen crazy appreciation across the board.... I'm sure there are collectors, but maybe not so many speculators... amongst gallardo models, the balboni advertised prices went bonkers at one point this summer..

I think they will hold firm in price as they are a bit more analogue, and that v10.... then in the long term it becomes a supply and demand thing....

LP570-4 or LP550-2... opposite ends of the scale when available new in terms of price, but they will be the sought after ones in the near future. Anyone have production figures for LP550-2 vs LP570 - I guess they were similar?

Biased I am, but 560-2 anniversario I reckon will be most sought after in time... only 14 UK cars total, some have already gone overseas..

Modern cars are getting too fast, feel is engineered, double clutch boring IMHO..

When I go for a Sunday blast I want to be in control...

I agree wholeheartedly - more technology does not mean a more desireable car...

100% agree

This:

provides as many smiles per mile as any supercar. To qualify, that isn't a statement of fact, it my opinion.

I also had some sessions in a beaten up go-kart on holiday, and that was awesome too!
