do they have a particular weak spot.
Chassis outriggers - usually n/s by the front mounting plate. The front wheel sprays mud and salt into the gap between the body and the plate causing rust on the tube (not always visible from below). o/s outrigger usually better but can be just as bad. Also check seatbelt mounts at rear.
Semi-trailing arms - open tubes can rot and fail with "interesting" four wheel steering effect!

ref the dreaded mot, can the S series be MOT'd at any mot station without large problems as i really need to get my car done and the dealers are a long way from me. do they have a particular weak spot.
i put a thread on general gossip about mot's in northampton and there a few places that come recommended
do a search on there to start with
if no joy get back to me and i will look some up
yes thanks i do know about the chassis bit and have fully sorted all that , i was just wondering if there was any probs with the fuel injection systems that may give probs at mot time and things that only a tvr dealer would know about and make allowances for it , or woulsd it be just like any other car at mot time.

MOT Test are standard and no different for any car .exhaust emissions test are the main thing that points to a fuel/balance/mix problems if it fails
