Shoulder Operation - AC Joint
Discussion
Morning all,
My shoulders have taken a hammering throwing myself down slopes in my youth - mountain bikes and snowboarding and now I'm paying for it!
After putting off the operation on my right shoulder for years (mainly cause the recovery f
king hurts) I'm going to man up and get it sorted. Left shoulder was done 10 years ago.
I'm looking at a Subacromial decompression and AC joint excision - basically shaving bone and trimming ligaments to create room for everything to move nicely.
Can anyone recommend a good consultant in the Midlands area, preferably around Warwick, Coventry, Leicester. Reason is I'm looking for a second opinion if the Op is the best way forward. My left shoulder has been fine for 10 years but lately has started to click, feel loose and ache - was wondering if it's related to the original Op.
Cheers

Droitwich, but this guy bolted my collar bone back together a few years ago. He does all the shoulders at my rugby club.
