As you guys know, I've been having problems with my 350i running properly for the season and spent many hours searching for information on everything ECU related as well as all the other items under our hoods that wear out go bad or are just poorly designed.
Anyway, I ran across an article about how the ECU works and such and traced it back to the TWOA (Triumph Wedge Owners Association) over here in the states. One of the services they offer is a re-build of the ECU which includes, removeal the main injector power switching transistors and clean everything up, use or reuse new heat sink compound, redo the mounting and grounding and the ribbon connector pins between boards which is often problematic too. As well as re-soldering the joints.
They claim in 90% of the cases they get positive results. The good part is, it's free to members and all you pay is shipping to and from the guy that does it. Membership is $20 USD yearly.
Even if nothing changes it's a good deal. I'm pulling it tonight and shipping it off.
Maybe my running problems will be resolved, if not, it narrows down the list of thing to deal with.

There is a company in Rochester, Strood called BBA Reman who can do it...They will need to look t it first to make sure they can get all the parts, They then test it...Rebuild it and its then given a 25 year warranty for around £200 delivered.

https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...

it good to contact them first..

Cheers

There's also ACT Performance products. They rebuilt the ECU on the 390SE for Smash, even though as it turned out that wasn't the reason for the misfire......
