electric window not working

I opened the windows to clear condensation and the passenger window won't close. The LED is flashing 4 times to apparently to tell me the window has stalled (although even with my limited mechanical knowledge I worked that one out). It is 11pm cold and wet in Aberdeen and the stupid window is wide open. To compound my bad luck the search facility on the site is disabled, so I was hoping that someone may b e online with some advice.
