Was two cars back from a red and black Pagani Huayra with gold wheels tonight a few miles outside of Thetford in Norfolk. I'm presuming it was using a few of the quieter back roads to open it up a bit. Never thought I'd see one in the open let alone out where I live. Looked as if it had an Italian plate on it. Anybody know owt about it?

Most likely to be from the Pagani UK place in Wembley, probably testing or lost... 
Ha ha! Yeah I expect it could cover a fair bit of ground in a hurry if it needed to! I do know of a few supercar owners in the area but most have already been ruled out one way or another. It's a big step up though from Gallardo's, 458's and F12's to Pagani though, that's proper big league stuff! I kinda regret not trying to chase it down now but a) I was in a hurry and going in the opposite direction from the junction and b) I was in a Puma so might have struggled to keep up north of 100

That's the Kiddy! I've got about 3 seconds of video of it pulling out of a junction, would have loved to have been the car in front who was directly behind it! I know a local Farmer has Eric Claptons ex F12, slim chance it might have been him in it. Looked awesome but was surprisingly quiet!?
Having read a few things on social media, my understanding is that this car is Pagani owned and has been based / seen at their Wembley centre in London on and off over the last few weeks. It is their PT1 prototype and so it's probably being taken through its paces up in quiet Norfolk / being worked on in the Thetford place.
It was also spotted very incongruously pulling into a driveway in Billericay a few weeks ago. Maybe an engineers house etc.
If you google the number plate it has been show boated around many European cities. It was also on the Gumball 3000
