2010 Audi S3 Black Edition

Well the time finally come where I could buy the car I have been wanting since I passed my test 10+ years ago! I have always been a huge fan of my Hot Hatches and have had so many over the years but the one always out of reach for me was the S3.
A couple of weeks ago that all changed and I picked up a 2010 S3 Black edition with the S-Tronic gearbox and a mere 16k on the clock from new (backed up with MOTs and full Audi SH. Having just had its major service by audi too including cambelt, waterpump, haldex oil change etc it really wanted for nothing mechanically and should see me many happy years motoring!
The car comes with lots of the options including the sat nav, heated seats, ami etc as well as the RS4 style wheels which I prefer over the Rotars. And in terms of plans I honestly do not know where to start there is so much I want to do with it but I am going to start by just enjoying it for a few months and getting used to it.
One of the only issues on the interior was a scuffed ashtray which was pointless having anyway so last weekend I did carry out a slight modification in fitting the ashtray delete kit and wrapped the gearstick surround although i'm not 100% on the carbon yet so may pull out!

Ahh very nice, yeah I have been looking at the performance options and it is pretty crazy what you can get out of them with minimal input. Having just come from a 170 diesel giulietta though I want to get to grips with it as it sits for now and look to get a bit more a few months down the line I had a similar car in manual, (pic in profile) revo stage 2+ made a nice difference.

I'm a couple of months into ownership of a MK6 Golf R which is practically the same car, loving every minute of it!
I'd highly advise you get an intake and stage 1 engine and DSG remap, this alone transformed my car and took it to 316bhp and a 13 second car.
I'm now running stage 2+ which is all of the above but with decat pipe, high pressure fuel pump, intercooler which takes me to 365bhp, I need to take it to santa pod as I reckon its now a high 12 second car now.
Next on the wish list is a Loba LO400 turbo which should see me over 400bhp.
These engines with the DSG are fantastic!

I didn't realise it had launch control as standard I thought that was something gained with the DSG remap? Please tell me more!
No build thread as I did none of the work myself and had stage 1 done one weekend then upgraded to stage2+ the following weekend... Got bitten by the bug!
I learn a lot from another thread on another forum, type in on Google Hurdys Mk6 Golf R, his is now a rocket ship but you can follow him through the stages.
To engage launch control turn off traction control, engage sport mode, come to a standstill with left foot firm on the break.... press accelerator flat to the floor so the car holds the revs (mines now set at 4.5k) hold tight then side step the brake and POW!!
If you feel like the car is trying to move with brake engaged whilst pressing the gas then launch control isn't engaged so try again, plenty of videos on youtube that provide instructions.
I launched the other just the other day with the Mrs sat in the passenger seat, she was shaken and speechless to say the least.
These are very capable cars once tuned and walks all over my friends CLK55 and 911 on a sprinted drive..... I've also had mine showing 172mph (GPS) on a private road.
