I know the person advertising these riggers, they were made from "your drawings" for his 280 coupe which in the end didnt need them.He subsequantly sold the 280, he now owns a 350i.

He is clearing out his garage of left over bits, so he can overhaul the 350. Wife and two kids means that money is always tight, which is why he does all the work himself on the car.

He and i were not aware that you were going to get so arsey over this matter, christ he even credited you so people could check your site and make their own.

All i can assume is that you are having a bad day and will apologise for your arrogant behaviour when you have calmed down.

It was actually said in jest. I can't really claim to have designed the chassis, can I?
If I wanted to keep it to myself, I wouldn't have submitted it to Wedgepages - in fact I even sent the drawings to Steve Heath for inclusion in the Wedge bible, but he didn't use them.
When I first got into TVRs I bemoaned the lack of info surrounding the cars, that's why I've always tried to do my bit to help - and still do, as I'm sure Uglymug and others will tell you.

I have discussed with a few people, the possibility of offering a 'kit of parts' as more wedges are going to need this doing: unlike your mate, however, I wouldn't weld the plates to the tubes just in case any of the holes ended up in the wrong place.

Allow me to alter some smilies...

Wedg1e,

Thanks for the drawings and tips, currently using it as I am replacing both rear plates.
Have two sets now, as the shop making the plates 'mixed' up the measurements......

Second set ok, and hopefully on the TVR by this weekend. Just drilling the holes and welding to be done.

Ian fella we were thinking about having a Wedge boys whip around to cover the petrol and your time so you can come down and have a look at Uglymugs 350i issues.

Potential?

How far are you lot from, say, Caernavon? I'm due to go to Dublin in a week or so, not sure yet whether I'll be driving or flying. If I'm in the van I MIGHT be able to detour, depends on sailing times etc...

An I can get the beer in. All we gotta do now is persuade Ian to make a little diversion and then let Uglymug know that he might be having a few visitors if he likes it or not.....it would be inpoilite to not let him know I suppose

Seriously though it would be nice if we could help out Uglymug to get on the road. I know how frustrating it is when the car ain't doing what it is supposed to.

Right, scrap that idea! I just looked it up on Autoroute, it recommends going across to the M6 and bcak fdown the M5, then along the M4... all 263 miles of it!

OK, plan B.....

Edit: 160 miles from Leicester to Cardiff. If I went to LE on a Friday night I could drive across on Sat AM.... but I bet none of you are in bloody Cardiff, there now look you...
