Great info on the CSL/GT3 thread on driving techniques.

I've done a few years of trackdays in my 993 before getting the GT3 recently.

Whilst I've had the instructors out with me, I haven't found that they've disseminated the kind of info discussed on the other thread. There's nothing quite like someone sitting with you instructing in that manner. Also have had road training.

I'm keen to get as much as my (limited) ability will allow out of the GT3 - anyone got any thoughts on more focused instruction on track?

Cheers

Ajit.

One of the problems with trackday instruction is that someone sits in the car with you for 15 or 20 minutes and just gives you a few pointers. If you really want to take things forward then you need to have one on one instruction over a number of days where the instructor can really see where it is you need to focus on and keep drumming in the message. Again if you are only in the car with someone for a few mins then whilst you can point out the error of their ways they rarely change much, or at best once you`ve got out of the car you see them making the same mistakes again.

As a general rule people try to drive too quickly on trackdays rather than improving their driving and letting the speed come in it`s own sweet time.
