Are they even available in France? The other thing to consider is who is going to fit it. You want someone who is familiar with fitting these to a TVR , there are many people who've had a less than great result with inexperienced fitters.
How bad is the crack?
Are you living n France or travelling, if travelling I would wait until you are back unless the screen os so bad that you cant see out in which case obviously you may have no choice

Provided the damage is just a crack (and not a bird strike for example) I'd get it done here; can't see the French having much experience with TVR windscreens, and besides, any snags/warranty will be an issue.

Just seen your second post!
I have a contact in France. He's sold his windscreen business in Wrexham to live in Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. He does miss fitting (and is a very accomplished technician) and does take on jobs to help out in situations like yours.
It's an option, but how viable it is will depend on how far you are from each other.
