Most annoying misuse of the english language
Discussion
I was chatting to someone on the phone earlier trying to sell me something.
Not only did they have the pacific thing that I was after but it would meet the pacific criteria (singular) that I had mentioned
This person had managed to get 2 of my 3 pet hates into a single sentence. This drives me up the wall and I can't be alone, what linguistic whoopsies most annoy the PH massive?

You're being a bit thick there WW. The "Pacific Criteria" is a cruise ship based in Hawaii. The salesman was trying to say that you have the option to "meet it" and enjoy a free holiday if you bought his £10 product. But you declined. More fool you.

I thought it was called the "Pacific Criteria's" just to get all 3 of my pet hates into one loathsome phrase

When people pronounce 'Nuclear' as 'Newkiller'. I notice a certain inept Texan does this in his speeches.
When people add an extra vowell for emphasis, so they say:
so= So-wuh
What= Wha-ott
No= No-wuh
Right= Ri-yut
And also, the Manc pronunciation of the number 20, which comes out as 'twe-i'.

Pronouncing the letter 'h' as 'haitch' p!sses me off
People who start sentences with 'basically...' should be beaten with knobbly sticks until they bleed. A lot.
'very unique' - unique means one of a kind, how can you have very one of a kind?
Nuclear pronounced newkular instead of newkleear
for starters...
