I made the mistake of using some Lynx that one of the kids rejected and being a bit tight I rooted it from the bin, that stuff doesn't work, now smell of Lynx and sweat, not stinking but I caught a waft and it's not good !

What is your preferred brand ?

Lynx is a body-spray, not a anti-perspirant. Unless you specifically buy the A-P one.

I use:

Works well and smells decent.

Another +1 for the silver protect, great stuff. Like the OP, I don't get on with Lynx, I end up smelling like a bloke trying to mask his BO with cheap aerosols.

Oh wait...

Yeah like teenagers who have a bath in it rather than an actual bath.

I've just taken on a 17 yr old lad, who you can smell from 10-15 ft away.

After tip toeing around him for a month I just had to address it and just came straight out with it, turns out he uses Lynnx body spray, and that's it, on telling him he should perhaps try some anti perspiration first it appears he doesn't even know what that is.

The yoof of today, you got ta love em.

Right Guard total defence for me. Does the job and can normally be found on multi buy offers.

Sure. Though I'm frustrated that they seem to be trimming the range down to about 4 when before it felt like it was about 8-9 different smells.

Right Guard just leaves tons of white st everywhere which means you have to be careful with dark colours.

I dunno if its me but it does seem that BO is more of a problem than a few years back. Seems some people just cant be bothered confused

You're applying it too close and not leaving quite enough time before you put your shirt on. Common problem smile

This being PH and being a strong powerful director type I use this:

I had to borrow some deodorant the other day from a colleague and he had spray all it did was burn after swapping to this for the last year.

+1 for Silver Protect. I assume that Malin + Goetz deodorant is expensive; in any case I've never heard of it.

But that's just deodorant not anti perspirant, so like lynx, does not stop the sweating surely. I know the thread title is deodorant but all other posts show anti perspirant

I use Vaseline Intensive Care for men roll on. Spray deodorants make my armpits burn something chronic, as I have a bit of psoriasis that really flares up with too much perfumed stuff

i use nivea fresh natural 48hr for women. i'd use the men's version but it smells of teenager or the locker room. the women's one isn't scented.

when i lived in the uk i used mitchum 48hr for the same reason. if i want to smell of something i'll use cologne.

I used to swear by L'Oréal spray but since using this I certainly sweat less, I wouldn't go back to anything else now.

I use driclor or perspirex. Can't recommend them enough, that type of anti perspirant a game changer
