Ok, onto the next project - re installation of missing air con.
Can any body please pass on some pictures etc of their air con fittings/ location etc as I would like to order the parts and get mine back in place. For some reason the previous owner has removed it and not replaced anything.
Having tried to search, many of the previous posts now have pages that are not opening.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I'm no A/C specialist at all but some basic parts seem missing.

Pic #1 - This pipe just finishes and should have a condenser attached?

Pic # 2 - top right hand corner, additional pipe work seems to have been removed/ unscrewed.

I also cannot locate the drier or accumulator as they are normally pretty obvious. If other components are hidden elsewhere then I am open to being pointed in the right direction.
Thanks

Dryer is in the wing behind the near side headlight.

Looks like the condenser has been removed, not expensive and widely available.

Where are you based, may be a side by side comparison would help?

Happy to meet up somewhere.

Thanks fellas!
I will search for some items tomorrow.
However, I cannot recall the compressor in the engine bay or the dryer behind the nearside light having adjusted my lights not too long ago. So some bits definitely mission.
A direct side by side would be awesome - Im in Hertfordshire if anybody close by?
Thanks.

If the photos you have in your OP are of your car then I can see the compressor in the photo?

Yep, if they are your pics, that is the compressor in the 2nd image.

Yup compressor sits on the top at the front of the engine. The alternator sits behind in the V

RE: PIC2

The High and low pressure pipes both have stabbings near the compressor on tee fittings.

There is just a plastic dust cap missing from the picture and not a pipe or fitting.

As shown here on the right:

It was probably deliberate. Some people think that removing air conditioning equipment will make the car noticeably faster and that by doing so, they're more hardcore - because #racecar.

I think it's pretty daft myself, and would have walked away from any car that had been dismantled like that when I was buying. Best of luck recommissioning the system. The compressor will be the most expensive part.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I’m still in the “process.”
I don’t think the drier I’ve received from TVR Parts is the correct one as there does not seem to be a trinary switch connection.

Somebody please correct me otherwise.
Also, I have no reference from a previous part, which connector goes to the “in” side?
Thanks.

I might be wrong but I think the bolt at the top is removed and the switch screws into that hole. I'll be paying attention to the answer of direction as I have mine apart at the moment and forgot to make a note of which way the flow was.

I was going to post the same as above yesterday but felt it best for someone that knows for sure where the switch fits......
I think the above post solves the problem
I also think that the blanked off hole on top may be of use

My fault in the first instance as bought the drier off the net and not through TVR Parts - my total apologies as yes, I should have checked first.
I will try the cover on top as suggested but looking closer at an earlier thread photo, the drier top has 2 more connection points.
I’m still not sure of the in/ out flow either.
