Tenants reference checks?

How do you that manage your own BTLs check prospective tenants references?
Is there an online company that anyone would recommend?

Try Rent4Sure its about £20 or get an agent to do tenant find for you usually half of month one's rent for this they do the viewings, inventory, AST, deposit and check in

Thanks I'll have a look at them, I've just had a sales call from frogtree stating they list the property on the main property websites (Zoopla, Rightmove etc) for free, they make there money on the credit checks from the tenant, but supply the tenancy agreement as well.

Don't know what FRogtree charge tenants as an "admin" fee but please don't use anyone who charges outrageous amounts to the tenants, we charge tenants a flat £100, some agents are charging upwards of £300 per adult occupant then insist on charging again every 12 months for a new AST, its the really poxy end of managing agents and should be regulated
