As per the title ?

In the News forum there was an item about the Notting Hill Carnival, 800,000 people attended and a fair proportion were smoking, so it seems to be tolerated.

I dont as I dont really mix with anyone who does, but have done years ago, with work I can be subject to a medical at any time and if they detect it they can get rid of you.

So, would you if it were legal ?

Years ago, I thought I would grow old enjoying a smoke.

Now I hate it. No. smile

I have a smoking shop, and my customers cannot believe that i don't smoke, let alone whacky baccy, and they stink of it, I wonder if it's like tom cat piss, that stinks, can they smell it themselves.
There is two very well dressed, professional looking women, mid 20s to early 30s get on my train in the morning, and they buzz of tom cat piss, I'm sure looking at them they would die, if they knew how bad they smelt, compared to how they looked.

Definitely, for it's relaxing benefits. However, with the new swipe testing that goes on with drivers it apparently detects a level that does not imply impairment but the offence remains driving under the influence of drugs, I'd be scared to get in the car for days with such an uncertain scenario.

Apparently it is available in vape liquids now. Who'd have thought it?

yes
Went to the 420 event thing in Hyde Park a couple of years ago to see what it was like and the (Many hundreds of) police were so relaxed I even had a little smoke there too. Maybe they were all stoned..

Don't think that is quite the same as a vape unless something new has come out?

I think what you are thinking of is basically pure THC extracted and made into a wax/oil type substance, although you can vaporise herbal marijuana too but then you're left with a strange fishy smelling bud which is best used for edibles (A whole different thread biggrin )

Not quite. You can get vaporisers that turn pure marijuana oil / resin into vapour. Won't work in your normal goob tube.

That's what I'm led to believe anyway, I've never come across one.

The Da Vinci line is quite good at that, if that floats your boat. A Danish friend has one.

Otherwise, to use it in the 'normal' ones, you have to make a tincture (a Spanish friend does this).

Not for me I'm afraid.

To be honest, it's never really appealed to me although I don't blame people for enjoying it now and again socially. Like many things, in moderation it's probably pretty harmless.

Let's face it, most people don't give it a second thought as to whether it's legal or not. If they want to do it they would anyway.

True. There's a guy goes into my local who reeks of it. He hasn't a clue, well he didn't until the manager pointed it out to him! He was a little embarrassed. Nice guy though. Well chilled!

I don't think it's legality or otherwise should have any baring on your decision whatsoever. The same goes anything else you choose to put in your body.

Gave it up years ago.
Theres too many side issues to legality yet.
Not least that skunk blows your f cking head off, and brings out schizophrenia quite strongly.
A few people pushed under trains and that, will soon un-legalise <sic> it

Last year I would have said absolutely, I was a fully functioning stonor, loved the stuff, 5-6 spliffs a day were the norm...

Now though? My 'source' dried up in November, and I haven't had any. And now I consider myself clean, and have no desire to start again. I even binned all the grinders and rizla I had too. Went through the headaches and feeling st too on month 2, and dont want that again! And I was lazy, I do far more now than before when I would veg out for half an hour then go mental busy for another 4 hours then have another spliff and repeat

So I probably wouldn't, but would have no issues with the basic premise of it being legalized (not going to enter a picky discussion about it though)

However, the temptation to start again would be bloody strong if I didn't have to be so cloak and dagger about getting the bloody stuff

Probably, but TBH I don't like smoking anything. Can't stand shisha either, I think it's just the sensation of inhaling smoke I can't stand. I've had a decent cigar that I've quite enjoyed on occasion. I think I'd have been interested in state-approved LSD, or MDMA when I was younger, but these days a couple of beers knocks me out for the night so I'm not sure how my body would hold up. hehe

Yep.

Same as i occasionally have a normal ciggie, or how i have a drink.

It is very much not an everyday thing for me, it makes very feel very slow and stupid for the first 2-3 hours after i wake up if i have had a smoke the night before.

Cannabis certainly does make you more self aware ;o)

I possibly would, I'd certainly try it, I used to smoke a lot in my teens and 20s - I'm probably better off without it to be honest until such a point that I don't need to do the 9-5 and deal with normals.

You can bet if it were legalised more companies would introduce/enforce drug testing policies...

No. I don't deal well with it. At all.

That being said, I wouldn't see a big problem with it being legalised, provided it's use was subject to broadly the same rules and limitations as alcohol.
