Hi Chaps,

Wondering what peoples experience of the z4m roaster on the autobahn is at speeads 130+?

Does being a rag top make it really noisey?

Thinking of building a 450 bhp charged z4m but it needs to be compentant and tolerable at 130 - 170 mph cruising.

bit of an odd question i suppose.

Anyway thanks.

I've only done it briefly but it was fine. The only concern I had was the car being fully loaded with stuff as I was relocating, made it very apparent braking performance wouldn't be as good as normal, so I kept generous distances and only pushed it on open stretches.

Road/wind noise isn't much worse than normal motorway speeds. That being said, the noise on some motorways has contributed to me thinking of buying something non convertible.

The insulation is pretty good and the coupe is also fairly noisy. At the end of the day I had a convertible but now have a coupe, entirely based on looks and rarity. If you're going to get a z4m you may as well get the hardtop. It's just cooler smile
