Paypal dispute query
Discussion
I hope this is the right section to put this in
I raised a dispute via Paypal on some services/goods purchased, the provider has come back to PP with a complete cock & bull story but I can see nowhere that I can reply with my comments to it.The current situation is that an expert is looking at it & *may* ask for more info,by the end of the month, but that isnt guaranteed
Am I stuck with not being able to say anything?

Providing the product or service is covered by 'Buyer Protection' as defined in PayPals T&C's ( full details here: https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/article/FAQ2378 ) then you should get your money back if the seller is at fault. The procedure has time measured in days for him to respond then you to respond so may take a while. Most sellers roll over fairly quickly but there are one or two who know they're right and will make you follow the whole procedure and this may take a while.
The only 100% cast iron advice that anyone can give is DO NOT under any circumstances close the case until you are totally satisfied. Even if the seller tells you it will all be resolved and you can 'close the case now'. Don't do it until you have the outcome you want.

The only hope you may have is if you just used Paypal as a payment processor. By that I mean you didn't use a paypal balance to pay the bill but used a card?
If you used a card then although the ombudsman says Section 75 protection doesn't apply you 'may' be able to ask your bank to do what's called a chargeback. This article should help

Only other option would be small claims court, but that really depends on how angry you feel with the company as to whether it's worth it or time to move on.
