Was it just me or did anyone else notice verstappen make a rude gesture towards EJ at the end of quali today. He used his microphone to suggest something and Steve Jones smirked like a little kid........

Must be pressure on him now. Wonder if he'll fade or grow.

Red Bull is hardly a company which portrays the grown-up image which is being called for. EJ is a wker and he's endearing himself to those who consume their product.

It's 2 hours 1 minute into the Qually show on all4 if you wanna see it. EJ asked him if he felt lucky not to get a penalty for his driving at Spa.

Will be interesting to see......... what is already interesting is that Ricciardo leads the qualifying head to head 8-3 now? That makes you wonder how good is Max's his one lap pace. I mean OK he won in Spain first time out but without the strategy screw ups that would have been Ricciardo's win (not to mention Monaco too).

Is Max as good as he thinks?

David also smirks just beforehand whilst very pointedly looking at Eddie and not Max.

Don't hand out points on Saturday, and Max moves forward as a rule.. saying that Ric is no slouch let's face it.

Let's face it, the boys 18, with the dream job and the whole world scrutinising is every move.

He should be applauded for the fact he's not late for not arriving late for every practice session after a bottle of whiskey and a half naked girl he's just shagged on each arm... Just imagine his life and how you all were at 18. I could go near a nightclub without ending up on my face in a gutter at 4am and I only had a tenner in my bank account hehe

Really? I think Red Bull are very slick and professional as a brand. Monster too, look how quickly they sacked Liam Doran for that debacle the other month.

Without wanting to derail the thread, Doran was a weapons-grade bellend for a long time. He was always going to go too far and for 99% of corporates I imagine that would have been earlier.

Age is no excuse. Whether he's 18 or 28 he's representing a global brand in one of the most highly televised activities on the planet.

Red Bull are in this game for one thing and one thing only - marketing. Max may still be in that honeymoon phase with F1 and Red Bull, but they've shown on more than one occasion how ruthless they can be when it comes to drivers who they don't consider to be performing adequately, so he needs to mind himself both on and off the track.

I'm surprised no one has yet blamed Max for assassinating JFK
