Never a fan of shopping, against my better judgement, I took the wife to the town centre shopping today. Queues, parking fees, queues, pissing rain, queues.

Note to self, stick to Internet shopping. The p&p charges are more than made up by saving on the aggro, time and petrol.

..and after all that you're lucky if you get what you actually needed to buy in the first place.

I've also been into town, the main thing I've learnt is I am a minority as I don't have a tattoo on my neck

I do as much as I can online these days, but if I do have to venture into town I make sure that I am there for when the shops open so I can do what I need to and be on my way home before the rest of the world get there and ruin my day !

I went to GunWarf a week or two before Xmas. Got there 15 minutes before the shops opened, in and out within ten minutes of the shops opening. So much better.

I was working in town today, and was amazed at the amount of traffic around.

I work Saturdays and have Thursdays off, if I need to go into town I go on a nice and quiet Thursday.

I too feel your pain. I'm not long back from having to go in to get some Monopoly money(euros). Waiting to get into a car park, the woman in front somehow managed to drop her ticket. She was parked too close to the machine to open the door to pick it up so what does she do? Climb over the passenger seat, walk around the car and collect the ticket. Then climb back over the passenger seat and finally drive through.

I would have picked it up for her but I was kind of speechless!

On the plus side the schools are going back next week, so great time to do some shopping in relative peace and quiet

I was in Sainsburys earlier and as usual there were some semi feral brats running about, one of them wasn't looking where he was going as he charged round an aisle.

I got the little fker right in the rib cage with the corner of my basket smile

I enjoy going shopping.

Trying things on, seeing different looks and colours, how they work together. Different cuts and styles.

Enjoy popping into a fast food joint and having a burger watching people going about there business.

Never have an issue with parking at all, I usually park well away from the main drag and enjoy a five or ten minute stroll.

The stuff I buy online invariably never looks as good as on the website, if it's clothes invariably it leads to dissapointment and having to send them back incurring fees and time in a post office ( have you ever been in a post office!!! It's no fun.

Nope. I quite like a trip to a decent shopping centre be it mall or High Street and lots of others do to.
