Rear Number Plate

Is it a common thing that the rear number plate on an "S" doesn't fit without trimming?
My rear needs replacing as it is fading and the current one has been cut/trimmed it would appear to make it fit?
Can you buy plates the correct size, when I look around it doesn't seem you can?
Maybe my rear end is a dodgy mould

I found a site on eBay that will supply a plate at 500mm instead of the standard 520mm.

I think if you ask most suppliers can supply alternative sizes, it'll save you the hassle.

Thanks, I will have another look, the ones I have seen are all "standard" and due to the legal bits don't seem to alter the size.
I know show plates can differ but some are a bit dodgy and don't last so long.

Most 'show plates' companies will trim to your dimensions for no extra charge

Thanks, but they don't seem to offer a narrower version on their plate builder.

If you go on platecreator.com you can select the correct size from their flexi-plate range. I know as I had to get them to make it to fit my s3, and they have then added it to their selectable range (it should be 500mm in length)!

Spot On! Just went on their site and ordered, as you say you can select the correct size of 500mm.

AND it was delivered the next day without paying for any quick service either, so good service.
(OH, it was also the correct size of 500mm).
