When did boxster S go to 260bhp?
Discussion
It was Model Year 2003, which started to be delivered to customers in Autumn 2002.
From memory, other main changes were glass rear screen, exhaust note change, variocam thingy, cosmetic changes to front and side air vents and cup holders!
Don can probably think of something else they changed, since I know that, like me, he bought one around that time.

Thanks john so i guess your still looking over £30k for one of the 260hp models?
Yes thank goodness! ("Depreciation is us!")
Another major change in the car was the introduction of the MOST bus. This largely means there is *no* aftermarket third party support for replacement stereos/satnav and so on. So if you want SatNav in the car you'll need to buy one with it in already. That's called the PCM system. I don't have it on mine - I use a Navman iCN which is fine by me...but you might want to consider this as an issue.
I had an MY01 car and then a MY03 car - which I am now keeping forever as I have finally got all the bugs ironed out of it and it WORKS!
Buy one pre-debugged and you'll love it, I'm sure.
