R129 wheels

Hi there,

I have a R129 320 SL. Fantastic car:



All 4 wheels are 8"x16". I would like to relace the rears with 9"x16".

Do they exist? Which car would they be fitted to?

I am not aware of 8 hole wheels being made in size 9 x 16, at least not by Merc. I am pretty sure yours are the largest size available.

TSW used to make an 8 hole wheel in a 17" size, presumably in a varying widths. It was called "MB4". I can't find anything on it.

Later cars used 8.25J x 17 wheels with a 245 width tyre all round.
