Hmmm.
A black S3c in Germany? Could it be the 'minimalist' S with an engine bay that has had all extraneous bits removed or relocated elsewhere? Does it have a 'wide open' bonnet with quick release clips to allow speedy detachment?
If so it was the S that generated a frenzy of interest at the 2011? S Club Heaven Event and won the Clarence Boddiger Award for best Go Car not Show Car.
It has inspired quite a few people to take a closer look at their own P&J and think about trying out a few mods.
It was just before I took on the stewardship of Austin, so unfortunately I never actually got to see the black S.
I did get the impression from the forum that the owner who did all the modifications was/is a real S enthusiast.
This is proven by the fact that he drove it all the way from Germany to show off his handiwork.
Edit: I have just been looking through the S3 Owners List, could be JensW?
According to his profile, his S was previously blue.

Ah, a good point Andrew.
It's hard to tell from the photo, and I wasn't aware that Jens' S was LHD.
But his was a 2.9 V6, and the one in question looks to be a V8S.
By the way, there were definitely more than 2 S's in Germany in 2014 at Rastatt.
IIRC, there were a few local examples, a nice one in yellow comes to mind.
OP, perhaps you might like to get in touch with Chris-Willy of the BlackForestTVRiders? I'm sure he could tell you a little bit about the mystery S.

Hi,
Perhaps I should give more details....
The car is a RHD Grey S3C, recently brought to Germany by a German enthusiast, but who now wishes to sell (I think put off by the fact that the car needs chassis repairs and two Catalysts to get through German TUV MOT test and registration).
Would be interested if I could contact the previous owner of course!
Thanks again

How much does he want for the car ? For anything less than EUR 3500, go for it !
