I broke one removing my wiper arm, does anyone know if it's shared part from another vehicle or unique to TVR?

I'm interested too, just because mine are tatty. A google a few months ago suggested that they were tvr specific, leven supply new ones with an updated wash wipe for £30ish...

Just had a look at mine. I would go to the local scrapyard as they look fairly common. I'd try Fords from the 90s if possible first.

They come with new wiper arms. Mine were a bit tatty after 17 years, paint flaking, bit of rust etc etc. They aren't expensive to replace as a complete assembly - about £20 each ISTR.

I know the wipers are from Leyland's in Lancashires finest and pretty crap on the deep curvature on as TVR windscreen, but on anything German you would need a bank loan.

Ah. The wipers themselves were an extra fiver each smile

And the replacement for the 'bent piece of plastic with holes in' washer system was extra too. I bought the clip on replacement system from Racetech which works really well and looks a lot neater. Thats about £36 including the dreaded.

My wiper arms were scruffy when I got the car so removed the arms and then the wiper blades. Quick rub down with very fine wet and dry then a nice coat of Halfords Satin black. Still look good today.

Are the Leven arms the same hook fitment as the standard ones?

Alternatively are there any replacement arms that will take the aero blades as standard? I've tried a Bosch retrofit aeroblade which does "ok" on the drivers side apart from the furthest right side which I'm not that fussed about.

I ask as the blade replacement on our family skoda is a trivial pushbutton, whereas I find the chimaera hook ones are always a fight, not helped by the slightly rusty arms.
