No actual story but could an Asylum Seeker landing in England potentially refuse being re-located to Scotland on the grounds that Scotland are potentially planning to break away from the UK. Some sort of Human Rights challenge.

No. They're claiming asylum in the UK. Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland are all part of the UK.

Under which of the articles?

(And, no, being housed in Scotland does not count as torture, inhumane or degrading treatment. Not even Kilmarnock.)

WTF? No, they're not. A small portion of them want a guaranteed to fail referendum on the subject. To say they are planning to leave is just plain wrong.

Nah, certainly not when anythings only really at the hypothetical stage but even if wheels were seriously in motion I very much doubt it.

There are the usual things about that people should be reunited with family if family are already established somewhere, which is quite correctly a human rights issue, but otherwise, there isn't really any right to choose anyway is there? Hence the horrible things people do to make sure they get registered in the 'right' country and stuff, because the only choice they have is at that end of the process.
