NOt sure 59 is mid life but certainly enjoying it having got back into it now. I last cycled as transport when I was 14.
Now getting hooked. Did 13 miles today over various roads in Medway & came back with a broad grin.

I had an MX5 in my early twenties as well as a motorbike. I then took up cycling at 29. I'm just about done with motorbikes and the MX5 went long ago. Not quite sure what's left for a mid life crisis, I can't stand golf!

Assuming you're not single, I'd say an affair would be the obvious one!

Thanks for the link OP, it was a really enjoyable read. Made me realise that I need to ramp my cycling up a bit if I want a full-on midlife crisis. There's plenty of time yet though.

That would be too expensive. I'll stick to pedalling
