Can you pass MOT with precats in but main cat out? Eann Whalley said so...

That's the wrong way round, the main cat is needed for MOT emissions testing. Just chat with your local TVRCC group, there's always 'friendly' MOT places around. TVR folk are a minor issue here, maxpower kids have been running catless cars for years and they always manage to get their MOT's done

My last car would go though a uk mot with just the pre cats. That one didn't regularly set off the carbon monoxide alarm in my Garage either!

Well it should have all things working as they should cats are cats and one each for 4 cylinders should easily cope wink so either one or more are knackered or partially collapsed

Funny you should say that,thinking about it,it passed last year

Haven't the pass regs got tighter in the past year,seem to recall hearing something
