I love Maserati but it seems odd that they are here in supercars and Aston and Porsche aren't......
Can anybody explain? I know that boxsters and V8V are bottom of the range but surely other cars are better than the best that Maserati have?
And by the way I would love a QP as a daily drive, no offence to the brand - I love it and the noise of modern cars is awesome

Currently:

Supercar General
Ferrari V12
Ferrari V8
Ferrari Classics
Diablo/Murcielago/Aventador
Gallardo
Lamborghini Classics
Maserati
McLaren
Pagani

Possibly this would be better:

Supercar General
Ferrari V12
Ferrari V8
Ferrari Classics
Lamborghini V12
Lamborghini V10
Lamborghini Classics
McLaren

Most people here seem to discuss Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren. Currently other obvious supercar manufacturers like Pagani or Koenigsegg don't really generate enough discussion to justify their own section. Probably more eyes on if those comments were posted in supercar general. Marques that have special models such as LFA, XJ220, 918 etc could be discussed there as well. Aston, Porsche & Maserati in general have very few models that I would personally class as supercars excluding the obvious 918's etc.

I agree with this especially as most Maserati threads seem to end up suggesting the OP looks at one of the separate Maserati forums

But shouldn't there also be a separate sub-section for RamboLambo ?

Perhaps the list for sub forums was compiled when this came out:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maserati_MC12

I agree with Pioneer's list above though. If you have a Maserati sub-forum under Supercars then why not Aston and Porsche, and then where do you stop, both Audi and Ford have built supercars etc etc.

I agree that Maseratis probably should not be classed as supercars. Is the Maserati sub-forum new? I've never seen it before.

I'd never seen it either until this week.

All Maseratis posts need moving there IMO to start getting some traffic in there.

Also the Aston area is quite busy in its own right. If it were to migrate to here there would be a lot of incessant rubbish clogging up this part of PH.

Not sure a cheaply leased 4 door saloon with a diesel engine is a true supercar?

The marque is however, true royalty.

Are we talking Maserati or Porsche?

Both I think! Quattroporte and Panamera for example are decent cars but not supercars by any definition. The whole Supercar area is getting a bit cloudy with the amount of other models being discussed.
