EURO Business Bank Account - Any Recommendations

I need a Euro bank account as I am receiving many payments from clients and suppliers based in the EU in Euros.

Up until now I have been happily receiving them into my UK sterling bank account, but going forward I think it will be best to start holding some Euros in case I need to make payments in Euros and the volatile x rate.

I have just set up a HSBC Foreign Currency Account in Euros, but for some reason as the account is still based in the UK some of our customers are having trouble sending payments into the account.

After some research online it seems that I really need a Euro bank account that is 'based' in a country that uses Euros (Germany, France, Spain etc). However, this maybe a bit tricky to set up remotely from the UK.

Is anyone else in a situation like this? Does anyone have any recommendations for services that can receive Euro payments and hold the funds? It also has to be a business account, not personal.

We use HSBC euro accounts and have dont for about 10 years both receiveing and paying euros.

The key codes your european customers will need are your IBAN and BIC and then they can payntomit as if it were a euroland account.

If you're still struggling then speak to your business manager as HSBC own banks which aren't branded HSBC (credit lyonaise in France iirc) as it was proposed to me if there were an issue but there hasn't been so no need..
