Mens has now started, with a red flag out for some guy who knocked himself out on the line!

Got to clear past all the low ranked numbers until we got to the big boys, start order is done on World Cup ranking from this year.

Rachel has capped off a truly incredible season in winning every single race she has entered.

Really hoping Danny can maintain the form of his life and win another World Champ title. Danny stay on yer bike!

Been some brutal crashes so far, no chance if your wheels get caught in the dust!

I want to see Kerr do well, especially after being left out initially.

Hart or Bruni to win hopefully too.

What a run by Laurie Greenland, first year in seniors and he's smashed it into the hotseat!

Yeah - fast from Greenland - track looks like a sandpit in places - that one corner with the deep dust to the left of the line is causing people all manner of issues.

And 3rd place Payet Florent rides for SR Suntour - Mondraker, I'm not sure what's more remarkable, the fact that the 3 top roders rode Mondrakers or that 3rd place on the most brutal Worlds track ever was using Suntour forks!

Brilliant ride by Danny Hart and good to see Gwin carrying on his Worlds hoodoo :/)

Bryceland has thrown away his massive talent but then that frees up a place for a more committed rider.

Danny has been the best rider this year for me - more WC wins that Gwin - and if there was one more round I have no doubt that he would be won the overall.

Fantastic run yesterday - perhaps not as exciting (certain not for Rob Warner!) as Champery 2011 but he dealt with the weight of expectation incredibly well and really delivered.

Rachel has just been in a total class of her own all season - the perfect year for her. She has put clear water between her and the nearest competition - horrible to see Manon's crash yesterday - brutal.

Greenland really came of age yesterday - astonishing progression since stepping up.

Amazing that the Brits dominate DH so much when we don't even have any real mountains!

Rachael has really stepped up her game over the last two years. But I don't think the field isn't very deep at the moment either which is a shame. But to do it regardless including posting decent times in the mens is impressive.

Impressed by Greenland. Hopefully he'll build on it next year and translate that into world cup performance. Becoming world champ may have been a burden on him.

Danny has really come of age this year. I didn't doubt he could deliver that after the last 3 races.

Gwin is going to have a worse record than Peaty at this rate!

Fantastic performances from both, on what was a 'challenging' course. Gwin's WC jinx goes on....

And as expected, the success has mainly been ignored by the mainstream media - who think cycling is all about road & track.

Agreed - men's and women's world champions in something that is literally edge of your seat to watch and it's goes completely without recognition. Shame.
