I doubt it. I think it's just the new standard finish which is anodised rather than painted and I agree that it looks quite rubbish. You have to pay more if you want them painted these days frown

Hmmm, it might be the new std anodised finish but it looks to me like it might have suffered from heat damage maybe?

These are all the caliper colours available. The top one is the std anodised, the rest are £995 to option.

I've gone for the std anodised ones myself so they had better not end up looking like the one in your picture anytime soon otherwise there will be a warranty claim going their way!

Adam - I am not trying to wind you up but if I were you I would reconsider that decision. Look at the handbrake callipers of any recent Vanatge (sorry about rubbish photo but just taken it in the dark) and I think this is what the anodised finish ends up looking like. I know £1K for a bit of paint on the callipers is a rip-off but welcome to the world of car spec options. If I were getting your lovely green V12VSM then it would have black callipers.

Adam i would have to agree with Pete, those standard ones look bad from new. The add on this car is saying they are black though but they do not look right to me.

It looks like the wheels may have been cleaned with some form of brake dust treatment which has claimed the finish on the calliper.

Not a good look at all.

I've flicked through all the other V12VS listed on AM used and could find only one other car with the anodised calipers, however these still look like new:

The calipers on the car at AM Reading deffo looks damaged and as you say raises questions about the condition of the CCM's too!

£995 for paint?

That's shocking...
