Having a problem with my passenger door not locking, which in turn wont allow the alarm to set properly. This was caused by an unfortunate incident with a numpty who wanted a lift but couldn't understand that to open the door you need to push the button and pull "at the same time". So after he had about 7 or 8 goes at it I had to get out of the car and let him in myself which I did without problem. When I got back into the car a warning came up on the dash telling me the door was still open? I also noticed that when closing the door the window is not lifting automatically. The system now seems to be confused. Has anyone else had a similar problem and is there anyway of resetting or adjusting without going back to the dealers?

Thanks
Glenn

It may be that one of the window lift buttons on the dashboard is stuck. Have a little play with all the buttons on the panel on that side - it has been a problem in the past. The only other likely problem is water in the door electrics.

No unfortunately not, apparently their is a catch in the locking mechanism that is prone to come loose with constant locking/unlocking of the car, has to be sorted by dealer. Booked in for end of month

Took my mechanism apart and the operating arm of the microswitch is missing...must have dropped off. This is probably what has happened to yours so make sure the dealer has a new one in stock when you take it into service. I have mine on order. Not too difficult to fix yourself.
