Whats the best way to sell a bike, whole or in components?

Which way is best? I've come to the conclusion I don't like riding road bikes (was always an MTB kid) so have decided to sell my roadie to help fund the next MTB.
Would I be better off selling the frame, groupset and wheels seperatly or as a complete bike? I know the frame isn't worth much, as I bought it 2nd hand anyway, but asa whole its barely covered 700 miles since I built it, and I haven't ridden it since Tour of Cambridge last year!
Specs:
Full Tiagra except shifters which are 105
Ribble carbon Sportive frame
Fulcrum racing 7's (2 sets)
Deda bars and seatpost
FSA stem
Look pedals
Would also mean my turbo is surplus to requirements too so that can be added tot he help fund list.

Try complete first,price it realistic and it will go easily enough. Nine out of ten second hand bikes I see are stupidly overpriced.
Selling it in parts is a pain in the arse due to packing up all the parts and the numerous trips to the post office, plus lower end components are already cheap from the likes of wiggle et al

I'd say that the only bits that might have reasonable secondhand value are the shifters, and perhaps the frame (condition matters here).
Only a few of the bits will be worth anything like £20-50/item and most will be significantly less than that. Many are worthless as soon as you start stripping it down (chain, BB etc.)
You might just scrape more that you would selling it as a complete bike before you got bored/fed up of all the old bits of bike lying around, but I wouldn't bet on it.
If you have the time, space and a handy Post Office then go for it

I'm not really up on Road bike tech, but I did ask the same question when I was considering parting ways with my 1994 Orange P7.
There's a big following for Retro MTBs and a lot of the parts were (are) XTR and XT and therefore had some desirability as they were period correct and in good nick.
Even then, there wasn't much difference in possible prices. General consensus was that I'd get more by stripping it down, but then (I thought) you run the risk of only selling some of it and being stuck with parts that you don't want to chuck, but don't really want to keep.
In the end I decide dto keep mine and rebuild it, but I came to the conclusion that if I did want to sell in the future I'd do so as a job lot (or full bike if I ever get that far) to avoid the hassle.

It largely depends what bike it is & component level & age.
Similar to previous post I recently sold an 1996 Orange P7 - complete i couldn't sell it for £400, with Nickel frame, Pace RC36 forks, Middleburn Cranks, Hope, XTR spec.... The parts sold for £700.00 when split, bit more of a pain but clearly worthwhile financially.
More generic off the peg modern bikes best sold complete. Although i am aware of an unridden 'new' 2015/16 complete Merida 4000 full Carbon bike with 105 groupset RRP 1350.00 which won't sell for £500.00!
