What to buy, Motorsports camera

Hello, Im looking for a compact sports Waterproof sports camera that can be mounted on the outside of a car and operated remotely.

I currently have a Gopro Hero2 Motorsports edition but the thing has overheated several times and no longer works.
Now seeing as this camera has packed up even though its has not had that much use over the years I'm not looking at staying with GoPro.

And wondered if there are better more reliable alternatives on the market.

i'm a fan of the Drift, as it's waterproof out the box without additional cases, and comes with a remote as default as well as supporting wifi control

Also a fan of the Drift, has generally been abused (surfing, mountain biking) for 2yrs with no problems
