Why was the Breach of Copyright thread closed?

Seemed a reasonable question to me but it appears to have upset someone.

I'd appreciate it if you answer the question: why is that thread okay?

Terms and Conditions of use state we are not to use the website to:

I can think of 3 companies who's rights are being infringed:
1) Lego
2) Porsche
3) Disney
