Just got my renewal quote through the post from Footman James.

£218 for 10000 miles, all mod's inc the 4.7 and £30k agreed value.

Cheapest car I have come renewal time, may be the wife will like it a bit more now;-)

That's great

Mine was £241 from Adrian Flux, Fully Comp with a lower agreed value, but central London so still good

I find the base premium particularly interesting. Minus agreed value, drive to work etc, my base premium for the year with FJ is £129 for the year. It's only £190 with all of the extra bits on the policy I asked for. Your base, even with the mods and an agreed value about £6k more than mine won't be much more by the sounds of that either.

It staggers me to think that about 9 years ago I used to pay that much per month to insure the unruly beast that was my £400 1.1L Rover Metro, and now that same price is covering me for a whole year's worth of driving a rare ~200mph supercar worth £24,000 with more power in one cylinder than some whole cars I've owned.

I understand why of course. We take exceptional care of these cars angel, are responsible and lots of irresponsible people own or crash Metros (And usually die at anything more than 10mph), but I do enjoy it when people say "Bet that costs a bomb to insure..."
