Turbo Timers?

Hi, I have a 996 TT and it doesn't have a turbo timer as standard as you are probably aware. Does anyone have any idea why not and would it benefit from one?

There is something about walking away from a car thats still running that I just dont like, maybe the insurance people don't like it either which is why its not fitted to any production turbo car as standard.
A few mins of gentle driving towards the end of a journey usually is enough, with maybe also a minute or so stationary idle if its been a very hard run.

But the gentle driving is better as air is still being pushed over the brakes, into the intercooler etc which it isn't while its just stationary.
