Under bonnet heat shield coming unstuck.

The matting is coming away from the underside of the bonnet.

Can anyone recommend an adhesive that will glue it back on and withstand the rigors of life in the engine bay, without letting go again?

Any decent heat resistant silicon should do it. You need to remove the bonnet and get some weight to hold the insulation down. Just do it in small sections not all at once.
