I've said it to three ladies (and had it reciprocated).

First was probably inexperience and hormones.
Second was nice, but the relationship couldn't last as she had underlying mental issues which I wasn't prepared to deal with.
Third times a charm smile

Id say, two.

First was hormonal teenager, in hindsight maybe not 'love', but it sure felt like it.

Second came about this year. Moving in together today.

God this is exactly me without the marriage. Only really loved my first love. Had lots of relationships and been engaged

I'm married to the only woman that I've loved, which is quite handy. Was never in love with any of my previous girlfriends.

I was going to say something similar, why do you think that is?

For me it's because to love someone is have perfection, perfection doesn't exist.

Only time I've ever felt that feeling I think is love is for my nieces and that's only been twice, never felt it for anyone else.

I spend most of my time feeling indecisive, frustrated and grumpy it takes a lot to cut through that.

i just think i am not capable of it. would be nice to experience it but i am resigned to it never happening. bit like my formula 1 career.

So you've married someone you don't love? Do they know this?

A lot of people would have something derogatory to say about that, i'm not one of them, I just find it interesting.

i thought i had been before, but of the 2 previous that I had said it to (including 1 marriage), turns out i was wrong.

what i feel for my wife is far and away more profound than any feelings i have had for someone before.

until i met her i thought i had felt it, now i am sure i have.

I have seen this happen to a lot of my friends especially men. They say "Shes not the one for me" or "I won't get married" then later on they are married all for wrong reasons. I would rather be on my own (which is why I am) then marry someone I wasn't that in to. I actually think it happens a lot. I would like to know what % married people do actually both love each other in the same way.

Because there is far more than love which binds two people together. I think it's age related too.
