Much as though I love my V40 I would also love another AC30 and some sort of plexi and a nice clean fender....

They are pretty good. It's taken the general public a while to catch on to them, they're just starting to get around a bit outside of serious musician circles. I doubt they'll catch on in the mainstream as ropey old blues bangers aren't going to be interested in this sort of thing.
I understand you can download profiles from the net, which saves the trouble of having to go and find people who own nice amps to profile.

I understand that they sound great for studio work, but particularly with poorly written downloaded profiles they can crash, just like any other piece of computer equipment. Then they take a while to reboot, which would be a pain in a live setting. Robert Fripp has two identical setups on stage to cover for this issue, but that starts to get pretty pricey

Yes I can see that being an issue and I have seen various comments about slow startup time. I do like the idea of a few different amps though. The Kemper is wonderful in the studio, and just incredible for noodling. Haven't played one live, but it's definitely closer to the touch sensitivity that normally is missing from anything other than a real tube amp/
One thing I would say is that I have not used anything as simple as the Vetta 2 since it came out. It's also the best looking modeler IMO and has become an amazing bargain thanks to the newer modelers.

You don't fancy buying my Fender Twin off me then and a new back!
Seriously though, how many do you really need to take to a gig, how much would the crowd notice the difference? I like to have choice, and ideally a backup at times, but more than 2 amps out of the house at any time seems excessive.

I have two at the moment and generally only use one and love it. I suspect the crowd would not know or care. I'd still like an AC30 though and a supro thunderbolt. No fender twin though
