caterham as fisrt car?

i bought the caterham as my first car and tuned it up, then found out much to my dismay that I couldn't actually race it anywhere unti i got my S license. Unfortunately... I got my S licesne and I still can't race it. Did I just waste my starting money?

I deleted the save game off my memory card and started again. Bought a used Nissan 300ZX and tuned it. By the way, buying a rear wing in the shop does give you front and rear downforce, so it is worth doing
